George Cowan was an Information System Developer and Information Technology Manager (CIO for Hema Quebec blood bank, CTO for Agropur and Project Director for a University Library Information Retrieval System). He has been Director Consulting at the CGI Group where he led the international professional practice for Business Continuity (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DRP) and Risk Management (RM). George was recognized as an Authority, had certifications and played a leadership role in Business Continuity Associations. He went on to develop an Animation Video Agency, Cowan Video Services. He recently partenered with Alvin Black for ABCG Marketing as Agency Director. In his spare time, George also ran marathons (3). He was Chief Organizer and CEO for 2 Freestyle Ski World Cups at Le Relais in Quebec City and was an international judge in Freestyle Ski. He was a founding President and Chairman of the Board of a local Community Center in Longueuil. He ran a community shelter in the Ice Triangle (Montreal South Shore) during the 1998 Ice Storm (30 days) and served as remote consultant for the 2010 Haïti Earthquake.
